“As Long as the Heart Remembers”
As a photographer, my work is driven by the impulse to tell stories through images, drawing inspiration from cinematic aesthetics that evoke scenes seemingly lifted directly from film. In this project, I explore the encounter between the beautiful and the macabre, a visual threshold where life and death converge.
Inspired by Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, I draw upon the atmosphere of moonlit forests, a frost-blue palette, doll-like gazes, and the symbolic tension between bride and grave. Just as the film allows love to persist beyond death, I seek to convey that genuine love also entails letting go, releasing someone even when the desire to hold on remains.
Through light, body, and composition, my aim has been to construct a universe that both invites and unsettles, like a still frame from a story continuing beyond the image itself.
